You enter a spiritual desert as one thing. You exit as another.
The desert pilgrim is a storyteller of soul. The desert is the mother of life giving messages.
The desert restores what the city takes away. When you reenter the city, you go forward as a prophet. Every street corner, every cafe, every office cubical needs a desert prophet.
The city appears to be so modern and progressive. Yet, behind the facade of steel and glass is fear and insecurity.
The desert prophet speaks to fear. The message has authority because the messenger has had a first hand experience of God's power in the desert.
The storyteller of soul knows full well that the universe does not serve man and his ego. All creation serves a higher purpose. The ultimate aim of all created order means to restore man to the love and fellowship of God.
